I recently returned for a second stay at the Econo Lodge Metro. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the property is clean, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again when in the Washington, DC area. Being close to the metro station is a huge plus, and we enjoyed the free parking, as well. Although we didn't have breakfast each day, we did see that there was a nice variety of items, and the coffee was hot and fresh each morning. This property is nicely kept, and a great hotel to stay at when visiting DC. Thank you for a great ... read more

We really enjoyed our stay here in spite of our worries about the small size of the room & hotel in general. That was more than compensated for by the convenient layout, the helpful staff, the good breakfast and , very importantly to us, the ease of getting to DC each day via the train. The station was a short walk way---about 7 minutes, and the trip to town was about 15 mins. Much better than driving in DC! The stay was quiet and relaxing, out of the hubbub of the city. I think what struck us as well was the immaculate clea... read more

Selected this motel after reading many reviews and was very pleased. Very clean with many updates, comfortable bed, lovely décor, nice bathroom (except the vanity space was small). Another reviewer described perfectly and put up accurate photos. Easy 2 1/2 block walk to the Metro on a bicycle trail or cutting off to the street behind. Stayed on first floor with easy access to the laundry room (which has a microwave) and the breakfast room (another microwave). Refrigerator in the room and easy access to the ice machine. Very ... read more

This is a very nice place to stay if you can afford it. Very clean fixed up facilities. Compared to the other place I stayed in Arlington this had smaller rooms and tight parking lot. Location is also near restaurants and Metro. Parking is also free. Free breakfast has different foods so everybody can find something they like. Service was also very good. I found this hotel via Verizon Rewards program but for some reason could not reserve it with advertised cost. Verizon blamed it on hotel but same time kept offering their ro... read more

This is a basic hotel with a clean, basic room. There is no coffee maker in the room but there is a microwave & refrigerator. The room was large enough and not too tiny. Staff was very friendly. It was about a 10 minute walk to the Metro in a nice neighborhood although the actual hotel is on a main road. We just parked at the hotel for free and bought an all day pass for the Metro. It was a little bit of a ride to the heart of DC, maybe 20 minutes, but it sure beats driving in the DC traffic! It takes a little bit of studyin... read more

We don't usually stay at Econo Lodge hotel, opting for Comfort Suites, but the trip, advisor ratings, location and price made us give it a try. We were not disappointed. It was basic, but one of the cleanest hotels we've been in. If you don't mind using the metro for the 20 minute ride to DC you should stay her and save a lot of money

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times over the past ten years. I usually stay there when I have business in Washington, DC. I like it because it is only three blocks from a Metro station so I do not need to drive into Washington. I also like the hotel because is a comparably inexpensive place to stay which provide clean, comfortable and has a pleasant staff.
