This hotel was the nastiest hotel I ever stayed at. Never again will I stay at an Econolodge I don’t care if it’s in Beverly Hills. If you’re in the Norfolk area avoid this hotel. I’d rather sleep in my car than at this place. If I could get a refund I definitely would. The towels and face cloths they give you I wouldn’t even touch my sneakers with the never mind my body glad I always bring my own hygiene stuff when I travel. Price was actually 92 a night and there is no breakfast. Washer and dryer on site for 25 cents each. Decent place to stay but no one was ever at the front desk.
I only had 1 towel, no hand towel or wash cloth, also no bath mat. 2 pillows on a king bed and 1 pillow had no pillow case. Room was not very clean and only had a sheet with a thin bed spread on the bed. No smoke detectors. Very disappointed with the place. Will never stay there again.
The two rooms booked were on completely separate sides of the facility. When I booked I requested rooms close together because my children were staying in one room. I was never given a decline to the request so I assumed it was accommodated. Upon arrival, Room 314 was not clean, grit and grime COVERED the floors and baseboards. The toilet barely flushed. I think Choice Hotels should rename this property, The Roach Motel. Let’s begin with the room, shall we? When I walked into the room, I was greeted with unbearable heat. By the way, it was the hottest day this year in Virginia Beach.The air conditioner was turned off. I would imagine throughout the full day and the curtains were opened, which allowed the sun to bake the room even more.
