Moving our loved one to this facility was an unexpected nightmare. They were transported on a weekend. Had it not been for the transport driver we would have never located our family member at the facility. The center was absent of staff. Our loved one was in pain. Hospice was always such an ugly word to me. The finality of deciding to stop treatment and transition to hospice is daunting. This is my second family member experiencing Hospice of the Valley’s services and the first with Eckstein. Both times were beautiful experiences that really made me feel at peace. The staff from the nurses to the social workers to the volunteers were amazing. I can’t put it into words the attention to detail and the ease at which my family was at. Hospice of the Valley is the definition of a purpose driven organization and you can see it in every single wonderful staff member. Thank you for all you did for my dad and our family.
Cannot count the number of times I had to hear my dad moaning in pain in his last days. I thought they were suppose to manage pain here. Another review mentioned inpatient nurses. That was true. Not a great atmosphere.
