WARNING DO NOT RENT WITH EVERNEST! I would advise anyone thinking to rent with Evernest in Brentwood, TN to think twice. I recently vacated a property I rented for nearly 5 years in Nashville. I left the home in immaculate condition, even better than when I moved in. When moving in I emailed the leasing agency and let them know about glass missing in the kitchen that was found, broken in a nearby utility closet. My experience with Evernest has been the WORST property managers I've ever dealt with. I am a property owner who has been using Evernest, based on a referral from my previous property manager. They have been very unresponsive. The lead person I deal with is always somebody different. Their pick of tenants has been a disaster, and the time to fill a vacancy has been awful as well. They have let everything get into disarray with inadequate communication.
I had an extremely disappointing experience with this company due to their abysmal communication and lack of consideration for renters. Our first rental with them was a nightmare during the move-out process, with normal work orders often ignored or mishandled. Unfortunately, our second home with them hasn't been any better. This is a horrible company. They never respond to phone calls, voicemails, or emails. They make you buy a benefits package but don't send you anything listed in the package. Good luck with maintenance requests. They won't respond or respond 5 days later with times 5 days out. Better hope your AC works. I now have a broken main door knob, only hot water in the bathroom as only one side of both sinks work, and the water pressure is a trickle. For $2600 per month I would expect more. They told me that they could careless if my kids and I died! Long as they didn't have to accept my HOUSING VOUCHER ! They only accepted me for the time being because they bought the property not knowing I was on the program! They vacated me forced us to be out. They sent me a statement saying that I was responsible for them renovating this property! I agreed to make a payment to move forward positively an they refused to work with me. I've been a property owner in Birmingham for the past year and during this time I've had the worst experience with Evernest. Things you should know: 1. They do not provide detailed receipts for maintenance jobs. I have this documented from the director of operations, Amy Bromberg. There is a complete lack of transparency and as an owner I have no idea if I've been upcharged on the latest repair on my home. 2. I will not renew if this company is involved with this property. I have been leasing four years and this is the worst experience with the least customer friendly service possible. They extort money in every way possible. It is impossible to get anyone on the phone. They only want to charge the owner and the tenant unnecessary fees for trumped up , non existent services. Beware this company
