The Elkow home experience has been great thus far. We have had plenty of contact with the builder (Rick Elkow). We were able to gain access to the house during the different building stages. Right now the home has just finished the brick work on the exterior and the drywall was being hung today. As cold as it was today I couldnt believe how warm the down stairs walkout basement was, and the doorwall was open. - Looking forward to a very efficient home.I would have to say the only negative comments I would have is (1) the tim... read more

Horrible. Wish I would have seen the review from the previous person. Once we closed, the Elkows wont even return calls on warranty items. They are trying to hide out or something. The quality is absolutely pitiful. Cheap everything. I would have expected some cheap things because I know they are trying to make a profit, but come on. Everything is cheap and items are already starting to fall apart.Sub is nice, but thats about it.Zero stars.

My experience with Elkow Homes was extremely poor. The quality and workmanship of the contractors they use is extremely poor. The owner is a farmer trying to be a builder and it shows in the quality of homes they produce and communication. I have had nothing but problems with Elkow homes and the home they built for me. Due to my experiences if would suggest to spend your money on a more qualified, professional builder. Rating: F-
