Filled out an application 5 weeks ago. In the 5 weeks of waiting the loan originator neglected to obtain the title search until the day before starting. I had plans on using some of this money to purchase two acres but in the process the land was sold but because I had the land listed on there they wanted me to go through a second title search for that property also. Pulling my own teeth would be a more pleasant experience than dealing with these people. I spent almost an hour on hold just trying to check the status of a loan, no one calls back when they say they are going to, and don't ever use the "Keep your place in line and we'll call you" because it rings 1 time then hangs up. I was supposed to be working 1 on 1 with a specialist who ghosted after day 1 and had to fight through a sea of customer service agents who obviously don't know what they are doing. Worst bank to try and get a loan. I applied for a small loan to get my son's wisdom teeth out and was denied. However, I have had several loan in the past with them and always paid off early or on time. What's even crazier is that I make more money now and I credit score is higher now than it was when I was approved for the last loan with them. ECU sucks and I have banked with them for 20+ years. I had a check that didn’t get taken out until 9am I was 3 dollars short and put a 20 in the atm at 7:55 am they charged an overdraft fee of 30 dollars account was negative 27 not 30 because there was 3 dollars more than the amount of the check and they refused to waive the fee I have atm receipt with the total amount and time before check came out and they said no even after that. My wife and I applied for a ****** refi loan on a ******* rental property we own free and clear. Needed to make repairs. Wife and I both have nearly 800 credit score. Own a million dollars of property free and clear. Have 1.2 million in savings. Been members at ECU for 20 plus years. Loan was denied. WTF? ECU BESIDE YOU? I don't think so. If we can't get a loan, WHO CAN? ECU is not beside you. They should be sued for false advertisement. ECU you can KMA!!!

I have had a checking/savings account with ECU for over 15 years. When my daughter turned 18 I took her to ECU to open an account. We got a car loan through Eastman almost 5 years ago. Last year we fell behind on payments due to Covid. ECU was extremely passive aggressive about it and completely unprofessional. We came up with the large sum of money they wanted to keep our car. Fast forward to today, they have repossessed our car.
