Had cataract surgery there on 1/17/17. EM Hospital staff was very nice and professional when I came in for pre-op paperwork and on surgery day. Surgery was done by Dr Brent Teague of Abilene. Very impressed with Dr Teague and his staff. Very good experience from all staff
I've done made it home but I really wanna BRAG. I was so nervous to go to the ER for several reasons, (terrified I would need pain meds which is NOT okay with me, scared of what I may find out, & heard not great things about Eastland hospital.) My anxiety way a little high therefore my BP was high upon arrival. Well my fears & anxiety quickly faded. They had a few critical patients to take care of while we were there and it caused quite a long wait time, but they keep in constant contact with us letting us know that they will be with us as soon as they could. I didn't mind waiting and appreciated them keeping us informed on their situation. The doctor we saw was very nice and quickly took care of our situation. I would say this visit was as pleasant as an emergency room visit could be. Thank Ya'll for taking care of my son as well as you did.
Terrible service. The er should go to Stephenville or somewhere to get in touch with a professionally ran facility. Front receptionist trying to tell me hold on before she could push the damn door button. Enforcing one visitor only when visiting. In a vacant er with one patient. Get real. I've thought , heard , and practiced the" at least we have them". Bullshit Eastlands growing and needs a decent facility I have had too many bad experiences there . Dr. Robert Campbell in ER took excellent care of Patty this evening. Compassion, coupled with professional skill...and the nurses? Can't say enough about them. We are very fortunate to have emergency care of this caliber in Eastland.
I was born at EMH on the same Feb. day as two of my classmates, had childhood appendix removed there as a 9 year old, and have had my parents, kids, husband, and myself in the ER multiple times and have always received outstanding care. I had a surgery at EMH about a year ago and with the skill of Dr. Simpson and professional nurses I was in excellent hands with no issues. I'll use EMH for our health needs in the future whenever possible. I'd rather be home than in the hands of strangers.
