Five years later and I am still absolutely livid about my experience with Dr Deepinder Miler. I went to her for help with ADHD and paid for three sessions, around $1,600 in total. On the third appointment I was literally one minute late because of a police breath-testing stop and even called ahead to explain. She cancelled the session anyway and immediately charged $800 to my card that she had on file. After three paid sessions I received nothing. No diagnosis, no report, no outcome. I found Dr Miller to be both empathetic and straightforward. I've spent years seeing psychologists and psychiatrists that just told me what I wanted to hear and nothing ever improved. Whatever I told them I thought I had they'd agree with me. Dr Miller was the first psychiatrist I've seen that gave me a proper diagnosis and an actual plan that would get me back on track. I listened to her advice and am on the mend. But if you're looking for someone that'll tell you what you want to hear I'd go elsewhere.
Was very apprehensive about my duaghter seeing a psychiatrist as its culturally mental illness is frowned upon. Yet the experience at eastern suburbs psychiatry has been extremely positive as Dr Deepi has managed to get the trust of my daughter and shes really patient and explains things in a way thats easy to understand. Shes now doing well at school and at home so i couldnt be happier.
Went to an online site that gave me an adhd diagnosis in less than an hour only to find out that they couldn’t give me a prescription as they weren’t doctors. It was pretty sus all round and I just felt like I was ticking boxes. Anyway, I went to see Doctor Miller and it was the complete opposite; loads of questions about everything and was sent for blood and urine tests.
