Was very apprehensive about my duaghter seeing a psychiatrist as its culturally mental illness is frowned upon. Yet the experience at eastern suburbs psychiatry has been extremely positive as Dr Deepi has managed to get the trust of my daughter and shes really patient and explains things in a way thats easy to understand. Shes now doing well at school and at home so i couldnt be happier.
Went to an online site that gave me an adhd diagnosis in less than an hour only to find out that they couldn’t give me a prescription as they weren’t doctors. It was pretty sus all round and I just felt like I was ticking boxes. Anyway, I went to see Doctor Miller and it was the complete opposite; loads of questions about everything and was sent for blood and urine tests. I dont give reviews often but have been really well taken care of so had to give some feedback. The staff at the practice have been especially helpful to get me in before of after work. Theres not many doctors that will see you outside work hours which is really painful given my job. Mostly my experience has been different from what I expected. My daughter has been treated by Deepinder for over a year now and the change in her has been major….though its taken a while to get there (as the doctor always said it would). The initial sessions were quite slow…lots of personal questions and answers. Don’t think there was any diagnosis until about the 3rd or 4th time. I saw Dr Miller for an ADHD assessment after going through a long process online as well as with a psychologist only to find out they couldn’t prescribe medication and I needed to repeat the process with a psychiatrist. As it turned out I’m glad I did as Dr Miller did a really thorough job. I was qute surprised that she went through my entire medical history and sent me for blood tests which revealed some medical problems I didn’t even know I had.
