The facilty goes thru a lot of staffing issues. I would not even recommend Eastern Star to my worst enemy. I had a not so pleasurable brief employment with this facility.

My mom, Evelyn VanGilder, and I have been staunch OES Home supporters over the 30+ years Mom has been an active member and past Grand Organist in Eastern Star. And now that Mom resides there, we are especially thankful for such a wonderful facility and staff. Truly there's no place like this Home!! Please keep the staff and residents in your prayers and thoughts (including your giving of time and financial support). Thank you OES of KY.

Eastern Star Home is truly a home made up of people who love one another and who care for those unable to completely care for themselves. My father spent his last 14 months of life at Eastern Star Home and we are so very grateful for the love and care he received from the nurses and aides when my mother or I couldn't be there with him. On our many days with Dad, we were treated like family members as well and in those final days with him last week, they cared for us and loved on us as said goodbye to him. What a wonderful community of kind and loving people. The staff at Eastern Star took great care of my mother for many years. She always knew that she was loved and well cared for. They not only cared about my mom but took special interest in my entire family. I can't say enough good things about them.
