This hospital is a direct consequence of our degrading healthcare system. Especially the case managers is a waste of money

More accurately 0 stars. Sunrise was respectable under Dr. Duely. NOW, IT IS JUST 1 STEP ABOVE BEING INCARCERATED! When you plead with one of the Dr's (Dr Barney) to be R/X'd a medication you've been on for a long time, he will tell you "I'll see what I can do", & NOTHING will EVER GET DONE ABOUT it. Instead they love to load you up on Anti-Depressants (which I have horrible side-fx to), THEY USE YOU AS A GUNIEA PIG! DON'T GO TO SUNRISE, YOU'LL REGRET IT!

Horrible place. My husband is currently there due to wanting to harm himself. Staff changed his voluntary to involuntary commitment. My husband went willingly to receive much needed help. I have been desperately trying to be involved in his care plan but was told by a social worker Valerie that the psychiatrist says if I can be involved in my husband's care plan after he made it very clear from the beginning that he wants me involved and signed paperwork stating that. Horrible staff head RN cody in the sunrise mental health facility refused to transfer medication to an open pharmacy for a discharged patient. He yelled at me very unprofessionally stating what I would like him to do about it and that verbatim stating he didn't care if she had the medications or not. He then refused to call the on-call doctor.
