If you haven't been to Eastern Market you need to go. I've been going there for years. From the wholesalers of vegetables to the slaughterhouse. From flowers, plants and crafts you can pretty much find anything in Eastern Market.
Unfortunately I can appreciate it now much more now that I am an adult, but I no longer live in the area. Wonderful memories though!
°Eastern Market Detroit City, Mi In my opinion, best marketing and distributing area in the entire state! The Sheds are always filled with wonderful traders! And now that EBT is accepted, it has helped the entire community uprise from grassroots of a ghost city! Detroit is improving everyday, eastern market is a big contributor to the economy!! I suggest everyone who has the chance, to spend some time on a Saturday in the Market and surrounding establishments and experience quality produce and material items!! You'll love it... read more
The best place in Detroit.. for all Detroiters - Farmers!!
This is one of my favorite places on earth. The food, the flowers, and the people.... This is a gem! We bought fresh vegetables for Easter dinner, fresh pork belly to create our own bacon, cheese from DeVeries (was RJ Hirt) , and a bottle of bourbon from Detroit City Distillery. As we walked through the Market ... It just fills you with energy. Love love love this place!
So many vendors just a relaxing wonderful time...clean great variety lot of organic products now
Detroit/Michigan vendors and food trucks really hilight positive things going on in the city. Gives you a chance to local and keep the money in detroit!
We went for the "all things Detroit" special event, they were charging $5 to get in, there really wasn't anything different than is usually there on a Weekend, it was WAY overcrowded I'm sure exceeding fire codes, won't go back for a "special event", the overall grounds are well kept and clean
Wonderful day spent in detroit...with family and friends...
