East Village Spa is one of my favorite places to visit in the East Village. Lydia does a great facial!

Great Experience – I have always had great experiences at the East Village Spa for pedicures, but the hot stone massage they just added to the treatment makes it over the top wonderful (especially in the winter!) I love the facials and massages. I have not had a bad experience. My husband enjoys going also (and sometimes steals my appointments...even the facials). My only regret is that I once bought my 8 year old a "real" massage at the East Village Spa...now she thinks that she is entitled to spa treatments like her parent... read more

Disappointing pedicure corrected – In November I had a bad experience at East Village Spa, but through a little research they figured out I was the one who wrote their only bad review. Cassie sent me an email offering me a free "redo" with the pedicure. I went in, admittedly, a little nervous that they would treat me weird for writing the review but it was completely the opposite. Everybody was beyond friendly and very pleasant to talk to. They treated me like they saw me everyday. My service provider was Lydia, she was prob... read more

Business response:

Hi, I am so sorry you had such a crummy experience, especially since you hadn't been out to see us in awhile! This is obviously not what we strive for. Our three nail technicians are dual licensed as estheticians and split their time evenly between skin care, nail care, and waxing. They have a passion for beauty and skin care and have over 20 years of combined industry experience and loyal regulars. I hate that you had to catch one of them on a rare bad day, but I'd love to visit with you more about it and offer you a compli... read more

A true retreat – I had a pedicure with Holly. I came in with thick calluses and left with smooth, clean and relaxed feet. It was truly a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Holly was both gentle and sensitive yet firm and effective. I was also waited on with hot tea and magazines. Again, it exceeded my expectations and I will be back.

Great Facial Experience – I recently had an organic facial from Holly. What a great 60 minutes! Holly is very skilled at all components of the treatment (gentle touch on my face, just the right pressure during the massage portion, etc.). She clearly explains what products she is using and why, and she gives "advance warning" when she is about to do something that could be disconcerting while one is in a relaxed state (e.g., telling me about a cooling spritz of toner!). Overall an excellent experience; highly recommend.

Great nail care! – I have been seeing Holly for manicures and pedicures and she does a great job with my short nails and also helped with pain from an ingrown toenail. She's friendly and the products she uses don't smell like chemicals. She always remembers me when I'm in! The best parts: The spa uses a foot soak tub with disposable liners so I'm not worried about getting an infection. Also, Holly uses deeper pressure during the massage when I've been exercising and my calves are sore. I love that!

Wonderful Experience – I received a hot stone massage last week. They called it the "Heavenly Hot Stones" and that description was right on. Everyone was so friendly when I arrived and my massage therapist did an excellent job. The massage rid me of all of my stress and my muscles remained so relaxed, even until today (it's been three days!) Also, I had a wonderful cup of hot tea afterward that helped me keep the soothing sensation. You should definitely try At Ease. They go out of their way to make your experience unique an... read more
