Super friendly staff who set aside time to go over their plants and landscaping. A must-stop if you want to learn East Texas horticulture.
I personally wasn't impressed with the area; however, it could've been the wrong time of year to go (I went today, for the very first time, and it was for maternity pics). I also was not happy with the older lady that approached us today. For it being my first time there, I didn't realize it was a paid admissions place. When the lady approached us, she instantly said, "this is not a city park, you must pay before you come in and take any pictures." The grounds are beautiful, so peaceful. it was fun to visit the big, white house and take a step back in time. The grounds are handicap friendly, except for a very few places; ie: the house.
