After decades doing construction work my shoulder rotator cuff required surgery. It was way worse than I had imagined it might be. Physical therapy was in order to regain use of my arm. I was referred to East Lansing Rehab at the back of The MAC where I met Meesha. She flat out told me that my window of opportunity was limited if I intended to recover fully. My got hurt during PT. Maybe the therapist means well but PT’s philosophy about stretching is problematic. It can put a lot of pressure on my joints and cause a new injury.

I was not impressed with Sparrow Rehabilitation. I completed 15 sessions and saw three different physical therapists/PT assistants, it did not feel like there was continuity of care and they didn't fully address my issue. The at home exercises were helpful, but it was unclear what their treatment plan was and clear explanations as to how the treatments/exercises would address my issue were inconsistent (i.e., it depended on the therapist I received). Gave me the wrong address, both the building and the suite number. Apparently that happens often according to the office we incorrectly ended up at. No one answered the phone when I called. No one called me to see why I wasn't there. And my appointment got canceled. Then they couldn't reschedule for a month. All of this would've been avoided if they would stop giving out the wrong address, or at least if they would answer the phone so people can say they are lost.
