The people of Charlotte deserve better than this. U of M needs to address the obvious ongoing issues with this hospital. I was hoping it was going to get better once U of M took over, but apparently not. Their ER is a joke, and someone needs to take responsibility for their incompetency as I will never let another family member go there. I have filed complaints with U of M, a 3rd party survey company, and the State of Michigan. I encourage others to do the same otherwise I fear they will never address the issues.

Was at my doctor's office with a bloody eye, numb face, irregular heartbeat, shortness of breath, elevated heart rate/blood pressure. He sent me to ER with a slip for an EKG and all my symptoms. ER sent me to the front desk. Front desk sent me back to ER. Gal doing intakes in ER*Are you SURE you want to be seen in ER for JUST an EKG*. Me *Nope*. Evidently I wasn't important enough to her for her to read the slip. It wasn't just an EKG. My health wasn't important enough for her to quit chatting and do her job. I've been in be... read more

The staff was fine but the radiologist misread my X Rays and CT and diagnosed a severe bone bruise which was dead wrong. I had a far more serious femur fracture. This was diagnosed immediately when I went to Michigan Orthopedic Center to see Dr. Mesko because the pain wasn't diminishing as promised. Had the radiologist known what he was doing, I would have been spared weeks of terrible pain and been better able to care for my spouse who was scheduled for very serious surgery in Lansing, with me the primary care giver. I ... read more

Staff was excellent but the radiologist (or someone) misdiagnosed me. I was reported to have severe bone bruising after a dog attacked me and knocked me down. The pain didn't really lessen over the next few weeks though there were some days better than others. I finally went to Dr. Mesko at Michigan Orthopedics in Lansing, someone I'd seen before, and their X-rays showed a clear femoral fracture, which explained the pain that even pain medication wasn't helping. I lost several important weeks of my life to the misdiagnos... read more

I've been there twice, once for a medication reaction and once when a dog attacked me, and I was very impressed with the newness of the facility itself and the care and efficiency of the staff.

I would like to take this opportunity to offer my wholehearted endorsement for the services and care rendered by Dr. Roy A. Miller (a urologist with the U of M/Sparrow Medical Group. I found Dr. Miller to be a consummate professional, both in terms of medical skills and good "bedside" manners. That is to say, he not only has a pleasand and engaging demeanor, but takes the time to listen to his patients, while being courteous and supportive. If you're looking for a skilled medical provider to meet his needs, give Dr. Roy M... read more
