This should be a 5* review but 4 people being seated for dinner at 6pm and then being asked to leave to turn the table after 1hr 40mins is not ok. Four people having 3 courses. We were not being slow. Very disappointing.
First let me start off by saying I'm in the food service industry and have been for decades. I completely understand policy's and use them in my business as well, but this is ridiculous. Our host/friend/client made the reservations,the table for two parties of four next to each other and we went early for dinner we had a 5:15 dinner reservation. My friends and I, who've been coming to the Hamptons for decades and eating at the East Hampton Grill or at the Palm during every visit, had an unpleasant experience here last Sunday. The hostess kicked me out, claiming that my leather sandals (which I often wear to business and casual events) were not permitted. She scolded me that I should have read the website.
