Need to update this review from years ago - the management office has become difficult to work with to the point that I can no longer recommend East 8 to new tenants. Over the post-Covid years living here through 2025, we experienced: - Deteriorating or removed amenities and lack of response / run-around to questions about this - Addition of monthly fees for things like pet rent (which we’d paid as a one-time payment previously) and online payments - Discontinuation of free tenant social events - Lack of formal policy when b... read more
I'll start with the positives: The location is amazing, the units have massive windows and beautiful painted brick, and the maintenance staff is super kind, helpful, and prompt. Unfortunately, I still can't recommend living here due to the policies and treatment of residents by the corporate owners. In the last several years, things have gone downhill. I love this place. I had the pleasure visiting and doing business with Ms. Ciara Luciano. Ciara was very professional and easy to speak with. Always helpful and informative. I hear a smile whenever we spoke on the telephone. Always smiling in person too.
Decent apartment, horrible leasing staff. I’ve lived here 5 years. The pros: location,Space, maintenance Cons: Leasing staff is awful. They do not care at all about their residents just the check. Everyone who has lived here has said the same thing. I put in my notice to vacate and instead of working with me to show the apartment to new tenants they gave me almost no notice that they would be showing the apartment. I’ve lived in East 8 lofts for three months. While the location and aesthetic are desirable there is an issue with the entryway door that has become what seems like only my problem. It slams shut all day/night and cannot be ignored from even the furthest point of my apartment. Sleeping soundly, watching tv, basically anything that involves quiet enjoyment or having guests stay the night is unfortunately not possible.
