Total scam! They walk into your room when you are hours post partum and tell you that they will bill your child’s insurance once they are added. Guess what… they don’t take any insurance and claim they are out of network. HORRIBLE. $165 when this is something that you can totally opt out of. I am going to contact our hospital and advocate that they get rid of this company. Speaking up makes things happen!
The company's representative said that my insurance would be out of network and claimed that my local pediatrician would be unable to perform this test for my newborn and that I would have to drive more than an hour away for testing otherwise. I am disappointed in the local hospital for using this scam company instead of honestly discussing care options with the patient. This company does not even answer their customer service phone number.
While we were at the hospital after the birth of our son, we were told that hearing and screening would be out of network, and that out-of-pocket cost would be $120. Since my inusrance company doesn't answer the phone on Saturdays and we didn't want to make the 50 mile round trip back at a later date, we decided to pay out-of-pocket and proceed with the screening. Joining in on the other reviews here. Not much to add. A predatory business and good case study of unethical business practice. Taking advantage of the vulnerable. They take no major insurance providers. You will be charged $275. This is not clearly stated when they show up in the hospital room. As others have stated anyone who has had a baby at a hospital knows how many people come in and out of newborn care and the assumption is the care being provided is under the umbrella of the hospital.
