Food is always solid and service is generally fine, but I noticed something weird with their online ordering. They add a 3.5% ‘credit card processing’ fee even when you pay entirely with an EARL gift card, meaning no credit card is actually being processed for that transaction. I asked about it when I picked up and was told ‘that’s just the way the Square site does it.’ She did offer to refund the fee, which I appreciated, but that doesn’t really address the issue. Mediocre sandwiches for high price. I work across the street and have been a few times. I had to leave a review after I got the cheesesteak today, it was incredibly bland, just eating the steak out of it there was absolutely no flavor, the meat wasn’t even salted! Ironic since they’re next to SALT kakaako…. Lastly, the size in relation to how much you pay is pretty ehh, usually still hungry after a eating whole sandwich although my appetite is bigger than avg I’ll admit.
