An excellent pediatric ophthalmologist is always in high demand, and one should expect a wait. My son is now 23 and has needed care since shortly after birth. In this time, he has seen two of the best, Dr. Crouch being one. Long waits have always been part of this. Frustrating, yes, but I expect it and do not get upset. I will wait, knowing that he is getting the best care. Dr. Crouch also has a great bedside manner!
My daughter was referred here by our PCP for a consult for her clogged tear duct. All appointments I have waited over an hour, sometimes closer to 2+ hrs before being seen by him (for all 4 appts and her surgery) , without any apologies or explanations by the staff. I'm in the medical field myself so I know things happen, but no explanation or apology is unacceptable. Waiting room is TINY and always packed. He has NO "bedside manner", & often confuses what's happened and hasn't happened yet.
Dr. Crouch performed surgery on both my sons eyes when he was 5. He's now 26 and his eyes are straight and beautiful. We tried patching, glasses and nothing worked. We are so thankful for him. He saved my sons self esteem and his future. His eyes were damaged during delivery. Thankful for Dr. Crouch. I cannot imagine anyone would not give him five stars. Who cares if you have a wait in an office? Who cares about the staff? Not important with the skill Dr. Crouch has to offer.
