This company is a complete scam. They will undervalue everything and then make excuses saying they can't change it. Couldn't even get the count of bedrooms right for my house and cost me the ability for a lower interest rate on a 30-year loan. I will cancel a refinance rather than them come out to my house again. I spent over 30k replacing all 28 windows in my house and the reported that the windows were drafty and needed replaced because they prewrote the appraisal on what they thought about the house before even visiting. ... read more
Avoid this company at all costs. They are trying to under-appraise houses to keep prices low. I have lost out on refinancing my home twice with Rocket Mortgage because they have contacted Earhart Appraisals both times and come in 20k-65k lower than other appraisers. When they show comparable houses, they only go off size, not the quality of the home. I have had over five homes in my area less quality than mine sell for more than my home was appraised for, and they still had single-pane windows and knob and tube wiring. Becau... read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This guy has no idea what he is doing. He is comparing our new build to homes that are 30 years old with lesser quality materials that are not custom and as a result our appraisal is coming in over 100k short. Do not use this company or his services. He is incompetent, unwilling to work with lenders and builders creating reasonable adjustments because he simply chooses not to. The untimeliness of this company caused us a near 3 week delay in closing on our house. We have no intention of using these services from this company again, nor would we recommend them to others.
