The process is ridiculous. I had a refill called in but then saw my doctor, apparently he put is a new prescription and apparently my refill became void. When I went to pick it up I was told that it was at the hospital pharmacy so I had to text to get in line then activate my ex then ai get a text telling me it is too soon to refill. I tried to call but was on hold for an hour and a half. I hung up. This is the stupidest system ever
No other pharmacy on the planet requires patients to “activate” their prescriptions. Why was my Rx “inactive” at any point in this process? Even before the digital age, doctor offices phoned in the prescription to a pharmacy or gave their patients a hard copy to hand carry to the pharmacist, typically the whole process took a couple hours max.
