too slow waited an hour and 15 minutes on two eggs sausage and biscuit and gravy
Hole in the wall, down home diner (in an old gas station, which is cool upsourcing). Was delish and cheap/reasonable (8.50 buffet, or 2.50 biscuit & gravy). Real eggs, from scratch biscuits, homegrown tomatoes, thick cut bacon... They have outdoor/covered benches to sit outside with your dog or smoke. Yum! 5/5⭐
I would like to tell everyone who may not know Eagle's Diner is now a non-smoking Diner. Those of you who might have stayed away because of the smoking please take the opportunity to find out for yourself how great this place is. I myself and a smoker I don't visit that off but their food is great. That's why we drive from Decatur to Athens for breakfast and my husband happens to have a weekend. The food and service were wonderful. It's not much on atmosphere, but if you want great food at a great price and good service, this is it. As I was paying the bill at the counter, the owner approached my wife at our table, and introduced herself saying she didn't recognize us; how about that. Wanda was a pleasure to talk to. Will go for lunch next time.
They usually have a down-home type menu and good biscuits. The only thing they allow smoking inside and the smoke gets thick and interferes with the taste of the food.
Loooove this place! Omelets are the best! I'm ready to try a burger! Yum yum!
