One of our must-stop spots when we visit Salem. Friendly staff and delicious popcorn!
Went there to grab a bag of popcorn for someone and my wife asked if it had any dairy. As we were walking away I overheard them talking about her question and laughing :\ Pretty disappointed
So apparently this place has been in business for over 1000 years /s. But after trying it, I think it will be around for at least 1000 more. Me and my wife have made this a weekly staple (the LARGE bag) of popcorn is the only one that will do! Just call ahead first as the hours are sometimes different than what’s posted online.
We were lied to. We were told this was the best popcorn in the world. I was raised eating popcorn EVERY night. I’ve never been a fan of buttered popcorn. I like the subtle flavor of popping popcorn in butter without drowning it in butter. I’ve always liked it plain with just salt. I asked for plain so they gave me some. I asked if it was salted. They said no because salt wouldn’t stick because it’s air popped. Air popped popcorn is worthless. I threw it away because it’s tasteless.
