I am extremely disappointed with the services provided to me recently. They did not spend any time to research and understand the area. Instead they picked whatever recent sales were available to them just to get it done. The appraisal had so many factual errors; the comparable they used were not appropriate, they even uploaded the wrong pictures, sq ft, etc for comparable! I will make sure I exclude this firm from the list of appraisals for any of our family’s future RE transaction. Very, very disappointing!
I was underwater in my mortgage for 3 years. Bank would not approve my short sale. Had multiple BPOs, appraisals, but all was for naught. Each time the value was inaccurate, there was foundation damage, water problems, etc. The repair cost itself exceed six figures, no body seemed to get it. Needed an appraisal for tax reasons. Called a few appraisal company, and selected E-Value. Explained my purpose, and the appraiser was able to inspect my property the following day. The gentleman was extremely thorough, took his time for the inspection (took about 30 minutes). My attorney got the report back by the end of the week. Had a few questions for the report, and was able to get my answers in a timely fashion.
Met John at one of my listings. Since this was a new construction, I was worried about the appraiser's knowledge of such a project; but luckily his office was only 10 minutes away. Having a local appraiser who understands the current market is crucial to accurately evaluating a property. I was pleased with the results.
I was in dire need of a fast second appraisal because my first appraisal expire. My loan officer told me that my request will be met due to my circumstances. Very glad E-Value understood my situation and was able to deliver! It was a stressful time that met a silver lining.
