I know it's Hawaii so everything is more expensive but I paid almost $1,000 to run 10 feet of wires from an outlet to a switch. They couldn't pull the wires through the existing path behind the wall. Or they may have cut the wires prematurely before trying to pull a new line through the existing path behind the wall. It would cost more to cut up the wall to run new wires, but they mentioned that they don't do repairs on the wall so I would have to hire someone else to patch it up once the wires were in place. HORRIBLE BUSINESS. They refused to come out and look at my remodel unless I sent them my competitor's bid. WHAT? Only then would they come out. Unethical and slimy, and I own a business, so that says a great deal.
I had a very disappointing experience with EI Electrical. I paid a $195 deposit before even receiving a quote for what I believe to be a relatively simple project. Over the next several weeks, there were repeated technician changes, appointments that could not proceed, issues with the building paperwork required for the work, and lack of communication. I will surely be utilizing EI Electrical services again. Great customer service and promptness from start to finish. Charlie the technician showed up just prior to the scheduled time and was professional, knowledgeable, and communicated from start to finish. Joe on the other end of the phone was just as great! I had a horrible experience with E I Electrical and would not recommend them to anyone. They were late to the job (I get it, some jobs take longer than expected). They admitted to over charging me by $200 and we’re supposed to apply that $200 to future work. Then they never ordered the parts or called back to complete the second service. When I called them several weeks later, Joe refused to give me money back unless I agreed to not leave a bad review. Not even kidding - can’t make it up.
