I ended up in the ER this past weekend because of Amber Hawk continuing to give me blood pressure medicine for my anxiety that I have already said doesn't do anything. Then upon calling today I'm "not a right fit" I am so disappointed with the time wasted here. There is no “psychiatry” going on here. That on top of putting me with an intern as my “therapist” who is not qualified to do anything but repeat box breathing exercises. I came here begging for help literally and I just got gut punch after gut punch.
I’ve had a terrible experience with this psychiatrist’s office. Their missed appointment fee is ridiculously high—over $100—while other providers I’ve seen only charge around $25 for reasonable circumstances like car trouble. It really feels like they’re just trying to squeeze as much money out of patients as possible. On top of that, their billing practices are shady. I had made an appointment here and at the last minute, right before my appointment checked the reviews and was discouraged. I decided I would give them a chance and I'm extremely glad I did. Amber Hawk Np is amazing! She really cares for her patients and knows her stuff. My therapist is amazing as well. I feel comfortable and heard and I'm getting the feedback I lacked from so many other therapists. Horrible excuse for any sort of tangible mental health resource.
STAY AWAY - textbook example of insurance scam. Purely a money grab. In my experience, This practice is horribly managed, with no regard for patient well being or outcomes. Borderline malpractice. You will be charged for more services than rendered, with no recourse for your final bill. My appointments have been under 10 minutes, with them increasing charges for “Therapy in Appointment >16 min” which is practice policy to ALWAYS include regardless of what’s been talked about or the *lack of* any therapy being provided.
