Everything you need This store is great. It is everything you would expect out of a world class mountain town shop located right in the middle of Springfield, MO. They have all the high end gear and have an even more knowledgeable sales staff. If they don't have what you need, they will get it or tell you where to get it. The information is worth the price.
Friendly staff The store is bigger than it looks from the outside. We went kayak shopping and they have a large selection, and will rent you a trial kayak by the day to see if it is the sport for you. We have also purchased women's clothing, backpacks and water bottles here, always staff is friendly and helpful.
They Have Moved to a really COOL building They have moved south to Republic Rd. and National in a really cool building -- it is supposed to be Leed(?) "Green" or something... Anyway, the store is worth the visit if nothing else. Lots of kayaks and car carrying gear, too.
Name brand outdoor gear. Dynamic Earth has all the latest greatest name brand outdoor gear. They have all kinds of outdoor clothing, shoes, camping gear and backpacks. The prices are high, and you can probably buy this stuff cheaper online, but you would not get personalized fitting on stuff like backpacks or shoes. My biggest problem with Dynamic Earth is that they carry a lot of different items, but not a lot of each item so it seems like they are often out of stock in certain sizes and colors.
