Good learnings about old workings of mines and a reality check on how hard this job actually was compare to all the technology we have today. Those men literally put their lives on the line every time they went into these mines.
Underwhelming experience overall as a mom visiting with her little one. Staff were not friendly and "not sure" when asked a questions regarding admission and history of the displays. Overall, the place felt dirty and uninviting (referring to the kids indoor area). This was our first time visiting and probably last.
Exploring the incredible history of Sudbury’s world-famous nickel mines today! From a massive meteorite impact 1.8 billion years ago to becoming one of the deepest and most productive mining hubs on Earth, this place shaped the modern world (and even helped train Apollo astronauts!). Pretty amazing to see the sheer scale of the operations that put the "Nickel City" on the map.
Amazing experience at Dynamic Earth. So much history to discover and lots to see and learn. The underground tour was definitely the highlight, such a unique experience. Do not miss the documentary in the theatre ,it’s absolutely worth watching and the souvenir shop had some great finds. Definitely worth a visit in Sudbury. ♥️
