I can't comment on the rooms as we have never stayed. We go to the fire water grill. The food is good the serves reasonably sized (goldilocks not jack and the beanstalk). The staff are friendly and efficient.
The room was nice and the foxtel was a nice touch, but this is not a hotel that will go above and beyond for you in any way. They seem to be running the business just for the sake of it without any love for the industry. Went there for my wife's birthday to which they were informed, and at no point did they wish her a happy birthday, put a card in the room, anything, some effort would have been nice and i would have been more than willing to pay for it, though was never offered. Delicious & palatable food. Parking on site not convenient
I recently booked 3 rooms for 3 guest traveling from Sydney booked only for there to be a booking error from the Duxton Hotel website. In an attempt to shift blame to me, Alex at reception attempted to complete an identical booking using Duxton Website 3 rooms, 3 guests to determine the error.
