Located in Downtown New London, the Dutch Tavern on Green Street is a comfortable local sports bar that serves some serious retro beers. It's an old bar that has been open since 1933 and was a watering hole of playwright Eugene O'Neill. I first visited the tavern in the 1970's with my father BMCM John F. Kennedy USCG, Ret., and President of Kennedy Marine, Inc. My first job at age 16 was on State St. at the Style Shop and later we worked together at the Underwater Sound Lab in New London, CT. I remember going here as a kid to visit my uncle when he owned it years ago. Always has had great food, people and atmosphere.
