My husband and I just got home after our terrible experience at the Dutch Pancake Cafe. We live in Stowe and ONLY went to the cafe because I had received a gift card from restaurants.com. I was excited to see a local venue as an option. So I redeemed my 25.00 certificate and we headed down the road for breakfast. Thats when our morning went bad. I ordered the cheese and egg omelet with a side of bacon and a coke. I was told they have no sodas however its on the menu. My husband ordered the Dutch Apple Pancakes. We waited for... read more

How do you screw up breakfast ? Well for starters you charge too much for it. 3 bucks for toast is a bit much. I got two pieces of toast, not a whole loaf of bread. Then you sell what is basically a crepe for $ 11. That’s a crepe with a few small sliced apples cooked in it. One really thin crepe spread across a plate sold for eleven bucks. Oh and if the customer wants bacon or whatever make it a side and give them two thin pieces of undercooked bacon for three bucks more. You also serve them coffee with no creamer on the tab... read more

We have been coming to Stowe and eating breakfast everyday at the Dutch Pancake when we are here for close to 20 years. This is NOT the same place we came to. Menu downsized to almost nothing. Wait for food was ridiculously long and not that good. Husband had coffee and no one came by to refill it for him nor our waters. $3.25 for a small glass of orange juice. Really??!!! So sad to see our favorite breakfast place gone. We sadly won’t be back. They ruined a good thing.

Amazing food & friendly staff. Was a very busy weekend & the staff was challenged by power issues. STILL, great experience!

The service here is DISMAL. It took forever to be asked if we even wanted coffee. It took forever to get our order in. We were never asked if we needed anything. No one seemed to be our waiter. No one took responsibility for our table. I had to go to other tables to get additional creamers and sugar. No one paid an bit of attention to us. Not an acceptable customer experience. When I complained, all I got was indifference and excuse making. The food was good but, in my opinion, quite overpriced. I ordered a Dutch pancake whi... read more

We are "local" and I've always wanted to try this and finally did for my birthday breakfast. We were seated right away, servers were friendly and accommodating and the food was AMAZING!!! Our 3 meals were The Sweetheart with fruit & chocolate sauce, The Kentucky Krepe with apples, bacon and caramel bourbon sauce, and one of the benedict dishes (sorry, forgot the name) and they were all outstanding. They came quite quickly, were beautifully presented, and the tastes were a beautiful experience! We will definitely be back...ag... read more
