Was researching tile removal companies in and around Peoria, and there are several. I called dust b gone and spoke to a Terri (female) who answered the phone saying "***", but the business name is Dust B Gone. Come to find out later that *** Flooring or *** Vinyl Concepts was another company name they had, but that license was revoked (ROC ******). Back to dust b gone, so when I called originally, their license was suspended, now as of May 19, 2018 it's revoked (ROC ******) just like their other license from when they went b... read more

This company lies about the time frame of the job. They makes promises they can’t keep and they do not care if the customer is left with unfinished work. They showed up late, only worked 4 hours in a day and then walked out on a job. Now after doing research I discover that their license has been suspended and they do not have insurance . This company should not have an A+ rating and they should be put out of business. They did not clean up after themselves and it was not dustless . They did a terrible job and they just don’... read more

This company lied to my contractor about the days it would take to complete the job. The worker was late, only worked 4 hours , only had 1 guy on the job, there was no way the job could be completed in the time frame promised. Holly, the manager lied to me and made promises she did not deliver. They only completed 1 room in 1 day. because of this, my home did not get completed and I am left with only a small part done. they did not clean up afterwards and they left me with a mess. she promised me more people on the job today... read more

Business response:

We were not allowed to finish the job because the homeowner was convinced we wouldn't finish when they wanted.

Our experience was amazing! Our little baby girl Ariel has severe allergies and asthma. We live in a home built in 1999, and really wanted to replace the builder grade 12 by 12 tile with something stylish. We know the risks of breathing in the dust from tile being removed not the dust BGone Way, and with our little girl's breathing issues we were scared to do it. They came out, and in a few shout days removed over 600 feet of old tile so we could have our new tile installed by our contractor. Thank you Dust B Gone!!!

In an effort to be wise with our money, we built a new home but went with the standard builder tile and carpeting, knowing we would pull out and replace immediately upon taking possession of our home. Dust-B-Gone was contacted by my husband. Since there was only around 700 sf of tile, I assumed 1 day would be all it would take. However, they got to our home around 9-9:30 AM (our home is about 2 hr drive from their office) and worked until around 3:30-4 PM that first day. Only to inform us they would return the next day to sa... read more

Business response:

We NEVER told the customer that we would remove the tile in 1 day. The tile removal was 700 s/f and we remove 300 s/f a day. The customer was unreasonable in her expectations of our ability to remove the tile in 1 day and she was very unpleasant about the fact that the tile installer could not start the same day as we were removing the tile. The customer did not contract Dust B gone to remove a pedestal sink. We do not remove them without a plumber. Our employee removed the sink without Dust B Gone's approval. He thought he ... read more

Love this place! They removed my tile without having all the dangerous chemical dust put into the air. The pictures on this **** are not Dust B Gone. Somebody just uploaded them. Dust B Gone simply removes old tile, SAFELY, preparing the floor to be ready for new flooring. They did my house perfectly, I was even able to cook my baby lunch while they were removing my old tile. A few days later, my hubby and I installed the tile on our nice, clean floors.

We hired Dust be Gone based on their ability to remove tile without dust getting everywhere. We were told that the job would take two days. After two days and the job not finished we told the company that we were bringing other people that new how to finish the job. The owner of Dust be Gone said that no one had told us that the job was going to take two days and that they needed three more hours to finish. The remodeling crew that we brought in after the mess finished the job in one hour. I had to pay a cleaning company $32... read more

I hired this company to do dust free tile removal. What a joke. I have so much dust in my house I need to hire a professional cleaner. They put their tools on top of a very expensive rug I own. In 2 days they didn't finish the job. DO NOT hire this company

Business response:

We removed a mud set shower and tile floors in the master bath. We explained to the customer that this is NOT as dust free as removing floor covering. We never told the customer we would be finished in 2 days. We need 3 hours to complete the job and the customer will not let us come back because his contractor has to start immediately or he will not be available for 2 more weeks. We did not schedule the contractor. A couple of weeks ago the customer wanted to move this tile and shower removal date to an earlier time and we w... read more
