Excellent vintage-esque hotel. Perfect location in Pasadena for walking to restaurants, attractions, and shopping. Very attractive, classic decor, modern and very comfortable rooms. There was a full-length window going from the shower out to the bedroom. I guess you can watch whoever is showering! A large shade covered it. LOL! Every staff member was very friendly and professional. We were always greeted. Parking is very easy in the attached garage. $29 per night. Pool area was very nice. Bar was too. First time visiting this remodeled hotel and I must say I was very impressed when walking into the lobby. Inside took a step back in time with an old 20's style vibe but yet modern look to it. The front desk staff were friendly, polite, and helpful to all our questions. We mostly spent our time in the pool area, the outside was clean spacious and had plenty of chairs, umbrellas, and places to layout. Drinks and food are served at noon as the location sets up a portable bar outside with plenty of food and drink selection. Y... read more
Very nice, clean hotel. The room was a little on the small side but comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. There is a nice bar that is open in the evenings with a decent selection and friendly bartenders. Ample parking in the garage. There's a small eatery next door that has great breakfast burritos. The area around the hotel is very walkable. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
My parents always love their stays here. The rooms are small but well equipped, the lobby is beautiful and the pool is very nice. During their last trip, they mentioned that they wish they had a kettle to make coffee in the morning and that the pool was overrun with people getting pool passes on the weekend, so much so that they couldn't go use it. They were pretty bummed by that but said it was much better during the week.
We definitely we will return to this historical hotel. Love the eclectic style in the lobby and the pool definitely had a Los Angeles vibe. Be aware you’ll need to get a parking permit at a kiosk at the Pasadena Police Dept. not far, if you prefer to park on the street rather than pay $30 dollars a night. My only disappointment was the bar’s espresso machine produced a very weak cappuccino. There are two beautiful bakeries within two blocks of the hotel.
