Every summer for several years now I rent a different one of Durkin cottages for a week of guaranteed family fun. At our cottage, 3 generations of our family spend a little time together. Do Not Trust this business! They used to be good but clearly have become "too big for their britches"! We booked our annual vacation(have rented many years from Durkin) in January.One of the associates recommended we contract for a home that was being completely remodeled. I had my concerns about it being completed but was told that if it wasn't,my family would be put up on one of Jim Durkins beachfront homes.I received the call in late spring that the remodel would not be completed yet I mentioned that I was reassured it wo... read more
Durkin took our $7,000 deposit and refused to refund it when it became apparent that our family from NY and NJ would not be able to vacation in Narragansett due to Covid 19. Jim Durkin is just a money hungry soul, thoughtless with no compassion for the dire Covid situation taking place. There are others in our same boat. Funny how they updated their web site to hide all the negative comments folks have posted. How sad for all involved.
