After reading these reviews I have to say my experience with Haley and the rest of the Duris management and staff has been very good and professional. I have found them to be pleasant, proactive regarding maintenance, and very responsive whenever Ive had an issue. I looked at a lot of apartments and Im happy with the Gahanna Crossing Apartments, and think theyre a good value for the money. I rented an apartment at this location while I was at my job in Columbus. This was a great location and the other tenants were very pleasant and friendly; the facility was clean and well kept. Haley, the manager of the complex, was available to answer any questions and was always ready to assist when I had questions. Reading Emilys review of this facility, I find this business the opposite of how this tenant described the property. DONT LIVE HERE UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES!While I initially had a good experience with Villa Nova the new manager Haley is unhelpful and practices unethical business. Dont expect to get any of your deposit back. When we moved out they sent fake pictures from an apartment that didnt even have the same walls, doors, stove, and carpet claiming damages. They dont really value tenants either. Service dropped substantially with new manager.
This business is extremely shady. When I moved out I took pics and had witnesses of the condition. They tried to charge me over a thousand dollars for so called cleaning and damages. I fought this and reported them to the BBB which eventually led to a mediator. If I would have had the free time and money for an attorney I would have takent them to court. I have lived at Villa Nova for over 2 years in a 1 bedroom apartment and my daughter and her son live in a 2 bedroom apartment and they have been at Villa Nova for over 3 years. I must say, that we all are very happy here. Along with friends and relatives that have visited us we all agree that its the Best Kept Secret in Gahanna. Emily isnt telling that she could have been charged 1,340.00. However she was charged 530.00 less her deposit of 250.00. This left her a balance of 280.00, which she refused pay. She file a complaint with BBB, that she was being victimized. After the claim was filed, Duris Enterprises proved that she could have been charged 1,340.00.She owed rent of 550.00 and 260.00 charge due to damaged kitchen counter top, plus the 530.00 for other damages and cleaning.The owner excused the 550.00 for rent and reduce the 280.00 to 140.00,... read more
