My experience with Melissa at Durango Couture was absolutely fantastic, and I am so glad I chose her for my wedding dress alterations. Melissa put incredible care into making my dress perfect. At my original pickup appointment, I was already thrilled with how my dress turned out. My dress had a small area of wrinkling at the waist (due to the type of fabric), and even after I had paid and taken my dress home, she reached out to let me know she had another idea to add boning to the area to make it even better. Melissa is truly an artist. She is not only incredibly talented, but the kindest soul. She made a dress I bought off the rack look like it was custom made for me. I have never felt more confident because of her work. Every aspect of my dress, she made to look like it was specifically made for my body. I would use her 100 times over again. She made me feel beautiful, and incredibly safe in her space. I couldn’t recommend her more!!!
After I purchased a custom gown from Poland on Etsy (huge mistake and would absolutely NOT recommend doing so, friends), Melissa saved my life...! My gown arrived TWO WEEKS before my wedding and was an absolute disaster - poorly constructed, no support.... there was a huge list of problems. Not only did Melissa get me in for an appointment on the same day, but she was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, skilled, and quick. Melissa is the absolute best at what she does!!! She is so kind and loving. She makes sure you feel comfortable and beautiful in your dress! When going to pick up my wedding dress from Melissa I was so nervous you’d be able to tell the dress was altered… but you couldn’t even tell she touched it!! My dress fit like a glove on the day of my wedding and it’s all thanks to Melissa!
