They refused service to my son who didn’t have the $35 copay. He asked them to send a bill to our home and his parents would pay. However, that was unacceptable to them and they refused to provide him service. In emergency situations, responding doctors and other healthcare providers are required to stabilize the patient’s condition regardless of the patient’s ability to pay for the treatment or provide proof of insurance.
