After speaking with another local air conditioning repair company overnight who did not inspire confidence, I found Dunes Heating and Air Conditioning via Google this morning. Although their hours say open at 7am and I was able to obtain access to my building before 9am, the technician did not arrive until 9:15am. Nevertheless, it's now 9:45am, my air conditioner is working, prices are reasonable and the technician could not have been nicer. I am a very pleased customer.
