DUMB NEW RANGE RATES!! Your average person does not get to go to the range every weekend. So in my opinion the new range rates are RIDICULOUS. $50 whether you shoot for a hour or you shoot every day for a month. I understand that’s great for people who live close by and have time to go often but $50 to shoot for an hour on my one free weekend this month is crazy. I’ll gladly make my future gun purchases elsewhere because the indoor range is the only thing that made Duncan’s worth the drive.
Stopped in from out of town on the way to Ashe County. I was looking for a ball starter for my .40 cal flintlock rifle and couldn’t find anything smaller than .50 cal anywhere. I did find a small, screw together cleaning kit that had the right size jag, but it needed the point that holds the cleaning patches ground off to turn it into the perfect ball starter. The gunsmith there, named Charles, took the cleaning jag into his shop in back and five minutes later came out with the tip ground off. He turned it into a perfectly s... read more
