Ordered daily special that comes with dessert. The chocolate cake with cherries was amazing!! We also ordered onion rings that were light & crispy. I was truly surprised that they were greasy. The fried chicken was average but good. Only thing I didn't like about the special was they served a cold mandarin orange salad on the plate in between my hot mashed potatoes & creamy squash. Well...just disappointed, I would say. I am from Alabama, I had a great chicken fried steak meal at the sonora County steakhouse restaurant 2 weeks ago,.first texas cfs in 40 yrs, I was in San angelo shopping and was going to drive back to sonra and eat but found this place, it was clean, the lady was nice but it went down hill when I asked for sweet tea but you only have unsweetened that you can add sugar to but once tea is cold the sugar just does not mix so.i got coke..a can of coke to be exact which told me not to expect... read more
