Last weekend we adopted a 3-year-old lab mix and renamed her Josey. She is the sweetest girl you'll ever meet and we were really pleased with the process at DDFL. The staff was so helpful and kind and made the adoption process easy. We were surprised by how many amazing animals there were for adoption and felt lucky to have found our girl. Thanks!
They had lots of great animals but the staff was very disorganized and they info on the animals was not up to date alot of them where unavailable but not marked as such trying to visit with a animal was way to hard they had several empty rooms for visiting and seeing if they where a match but all sorts of people where waiting to just be put in a room ridiculous and the sad thing is its the animals thay suffer people waited so long lots had to be elsewhere me and my family where very disappointed we definitely will not return... read more

Everyone was beyond kind & friendly but best of all they introduced me to my darling fury friend.
We adopted Fiona (dog) today and she is a wonderful addition to our family! This shelter provided us with her background information, very clean environment, and the most amazing staff that genuinely loves the animals there.
I'm so thankful for you . I found my samual nick name Sammy . He is such a cute kitty he is so thankful to have a home . I got him a month ago he is so we'll behaved and has use the litter box and everything . We were blessed to get such a great kitty thanks again ms Knapp
