All of the staff from Dr Smith, PA Sondra, to the nurses at the center were exceptional. Dr Smith spent the time explaining the procedure (knee replacement) clearly and knowledgeably with plenty of time for questions. The PA Sondra did an amazing job getting me prepared and discussing aftercare. The anesthesiologist was also good explaining what he was doing and why. My initial impression was the Westmont Orthopedic Surgical Facility was very clean and everyone seemed professional. Upon arrival, I explained to the intake and O.R. nurses as well as the anesthesiologist that it takes me longer than normal to wake up from anesthesia. In Recovery, I recall someone placing a tube in my mouth before I was completely conscious. I had no idea what was happening. Apparently they trying to instruct me how to perform respiratory therapy at home to prevent pneunomia and sent the apparatus home with ... read more
