I am the POA for an 87 year old friend who went to Dulles Rehab upon a recommendation from her assisted living center after hospitalization. She was placed in a private room and was to receive 5 days a week of rehab. She was never told what day would bring rehab, sometimes she went 3 days with no rehab and often times she was told they were short staffed so 2 people did not come to have her up and standing. My father was recently a patient at this facility, and unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing. The nursing staff appeared to lack basic knowledge and common sense regarding medications and patient care. On multiple occasions it took up to 45 minutes for someone to respond to his call bell. In addition, basic care needs were often ignored. Unless family members specifically asked, no one would come in to change or assist him. I was at Dulles for short term rehab after surgery. My goal was to gain strength and mobility before going home, so I could be as independent as possible at home while I continued to recover. The Dulles staff provided the oversight, assistance and therapy for me to meet my goal. The staff is personable, friendly and helpful. I'm glad that I chose Dulles Health for this intermediary step in my recovery. If you need a professional setting and service for rehab, Dulles Health is a great choice.
