I saw Ellen Byars today in Durham. She was absolutely wonderful!!! I even broke down in tears due to some anxieties I'm having and she didn't even think twice of it. It's never easy to go to a doctor for things that fall apart as we age but she talked with grace and compassion. I go back in 4 weeks for a follow up and hope I'm with her again. I thought I had overactive bladder but then diagnosed with high tone pelvic muscles which keep me up all night. Tried meds and PT to no avail. Next I was referred to a doctor who would try injections into the bladder muscles to relax the muscles. This doctor had NO appointments period! Not 6,9 or 12 months out. Madness! Now I am starting the whole process over again at Wake Med. I should have trusted my gut and stayed away from this large healthcare system!

Everything was good up until surgery. After surgery care was lacking. Still having issues months post op.
