Staff was nice and welcoming but when the doctor came in and saw me battling a panic attack asked “are you on drugs that aren’t prescribed?” Because she did not see the issue. Turns out a shard of my broken tooth was lodged in the roof of my mouth. A bit disconcerting for people who may be more sensitive, I brought up the fact I still had a good oxygen level despite my heart going crazy and that warranted her to continually ask that question. My friend recently visited Duke Urgent Care Heritage with her two sick toddlers and was seen by Gloria Melisa Sierra, NP. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled by this provider contributed to an already overwhelming moment being blown out of proportion. Everyone i saw here today from the front desk to the doctor was seriously the sweetest most caring urgent care i have been too in 33 years of life! It was my first time here and now they are stuck with me for any future illnesses! It was a super fast experience but it did not cut them short with bedside manner and over all feeling cared about for a bad cold . Huge thank you to everyone that took care of me today
