PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK – I should have known after my experience with the ER months ago when I had to visit with sever bladder cramps due to my "self cath" not functioning and the ER did not have a catheter. After they searched the Hospital and came back 20 min. later the pain was unbearable. My wife recounts my next experience- Last month, my husband went into the LNRMC facility for a procedure to have a permanent catheter put into his bladder. This was explained to him and then me as a relatively simple outpatient proced... read more
DISAPPOINTMENT WITH LAKE NORMAN REGIONAL MEDICAL – MY AUNT WAS BROUGHT INTO LNRM JANUARY 6 WITH A BLOOD SUGAR LEVER OF 41. SHE WAS THEN ADMITTED TO THE HOSPITAL. HAD FAMILY MEMBERS NOT BEEN WITH HER SHE COULD HAVE DIED 4 DIFFERENT TIMES BECAUSE SHE KEPT GOING INTO DIABETIC SHOCK. THE FLOOR (2ND NEW WING) WAS UNDERSTAFFED AND THE STAFFING NEVER GOT ANY BETTER. THE NURSES WERE GOOD BUT THE HOSPITAL HAS A STAFFING PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD BY THEIR CEO THAT THE NATIONAL GRID IS 1 NURSE TO EVERY 6 ROOMS. THAT MIGHT BE OK IF YOU DO NO ... read more
Fear this Hospital – my Father was admitted to ER thru his primary dr. due to mini seizures... we were there for over 4 hours with nothing being done... only saw a PA never saw the an actual Dr..... they sent him home with instructions to follow up with the local neurologist on the following day,... luckily my parents listened to us and took him to Charlotte on the following day b/c the local neuro wouldn't see him for at least 2 days !! He ended up in the ICU at Carolinas Med that day with a brain tumor (the cause of the se... read more
Be Prepared To Wait and Wait and Wait ..... – Growing Child Pediatric is very clearly a for profit business. If you remember this, you will be fine with their level of care and service. The staff is kind and friendly and when you see a physician, the quality of the care will likely be high and professionally delivered. Be aware however that they routinely over schedule to maximize their revenue stream and if you schedule anything beyond the first appointment of the day you will likely wait, often significantly so. Typical wa... read more
all neglect,no compassion – first of all i want to begin by saying i understand that an er is worst cases served first.when i ariived at lnrm i could barely walk in due to severe back pain.my husband was practically carrying me. there was a woman at the desk who just watched us with no offer of getting a wheelchair.there were only 2 other people in the waiting room.i arrived at 8:45.we went and did the routine blood pressure temperature pain scale thing and i told the lady my pain on a scale of 1 to 10 was past 10...undescri... read more
this hospital needs to be shut down – my name is david belflower and this is my story. on the 7th of december 2010 i awoke to my wife screaming in pain with her back .i immediately picked my wife and her belongings up and headed out the door to the hospital. up on arriving at the hospital i was faced with the task of getting this very sick woman into the er. no one even cared that this woman could barely walk. and this was very visible to all who were attending at the time. up on checking in with the receptionest we were mad... read more
poor ER service – I saw a woman come in to the er with a allergic reaction to ant bites, she was ignored for a few miniutes and then told it would be a few minutes before they got to her. This lady could have had her airway close up in any given second.I am a paramedic so I know the importance of getting some medical help immediately for this lady. This incident unnerved me so bad that I left and went elsewhere to get my medical attention.I will never go back to this hospital-never.
HORRIBLE TREATMENT – I've been to the New Bern Ave, Brier Creek, and Wake Forest location and my child recieved poor treatment at all three. This is truly low quality medical care and felt like I was at a "free clinic". Each time we came, we would see a different doctor and have to explain the history because apparently, they don't document each visit. My 3-yr-old was diagnosed with pnuemonia and when we went for follow-up the next week, they had no record of the visit.
oh my lord what a nitemare – hey, I am from northern usa family member admitted .. very ill..after one week of no diagnosis no tests, I had to remove 2 doctors , which in this hospital is a problem as they use "hospitalists" so if you have your own doc thats great.. but... the nursing staff will be over run and your on your own laziness, no communications.. but if you do complain and go to the administrator he will listen and if you do not have a medical license will smile and condensend you in a nice souhern way of course a... read more
