FIRST BILL was $160 and at the top of my statement it says "due next month: $170.00" how is my new amount already predicted when i haven't used any energy?? i work full time and go to school and turn everything off and my AC up to 78 EVERYDAY when i leave.. Price gouging! They have always been paid but they are very quick to shut off power, just 10 days, no matter the circumstances! Recovering from a hurricane, they do not care!! And now they tag an over $700 deposit demand to my bill which made my bill $$1362!!!! And I live in a 1600sqf home, no pool.
All of them are a Scam from setting up payment arrangements & then duke still cuts your power. Not to mention, when I moved, they decided that I wasn't entitled to my own deposit back! Tikka or Tisha was the supervisor I spoke with on the morning of April 14th she was extremely rude and even attempted to hang up the phone on me because she was not willing to assist in any way. duke Energy, get it together, man. I understand we all need power, but this customer service has been a joke since I started living in this area!
Did you know that in 2021 alone, Duke received $649 million in federal funding? And yet your power would be more reliable if you just had a generator and a battery. I wonder what they do with all our money
