Duke has been a million times better than our last 3 letter acronym company. Every time I’ve spoken with someone they are usually very understanding. It’s just all in the way you approach it. I’ve learned to not be so vile and ugly when my power goes off. 9/10 times it has nothing to do with the person answering the phone. People just need to understand that when power goes out, the power companies jobs go off in an entirely different way. As in never stopping until power is restored. My dad was late on his payment the person that answered the phone when he called said he could pay $700 then the rest at later date the next day they shut off the power told him he had to pay $900 before they would turn it back on which he didn't have the money for at that time he called to make a payment today and they told him it is now $1573 before they turn it back on THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED THEY ARE RIPPING CUSTOMERS OFF AND TAKING MONEY OUT OF PEOPLES POCKETS THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME OUR FAMILY HAS BEEN... read more

Worst power company out there. They’re destroying natural Florida with their roads and slapping lines up everywhere. They cut power for hours without notifying anyone, but they don’t care.
