I’ve used Duke in several different areas including Greenwood and Savannah GA and never had an issue. Here in York, there never seems to be any power. They are constantly doing “maintenance” but yet the power goes out if someone mentions the word rain… what is the point of maintenance if it keeps going out? It also takes 7-8 hours to complete said maintenance. I’m tired of throwing out food because yall can’t get it together. DO BETTER.
I used to watch Gunsmoke on TV but now that there's never any power I just pretend I'm in the old west with Matt and Festus. I cook my coffee on a campfire. I'm digging an outhouse hole since the well isn't pumping. I have all the Foxfire books that teach you how old timers used to do things in the days of yore. Duke Power is keeping the old ways alive around here.

Whenever I call during normal work hours staff have always been polite and courteous. They are very good at explaining so I understand what's going on. It's complicated to get through their phone system to the right person. But they will connect you to the correct person
Duke energy is the absolute worse!! They don't care to help you out. They have a straight answer for everything and that's that. No matter what you say
