Horrible company!! I truly wish there was another option.
Duke energy is one of the worst power companies I have dealt with. We open multiple accounts a year and they drop the ball every time. This last time threw me over the edge. I never received a bill and when I finally got an email I called to try to look up the account but they couldn’t find the account because I didn’t have the account number. I didn’t have the account number because I never received a bill! Then they added multiple fees on top of everything and wouldn’t wave them. I would pick SECO any day over Duke!
Horrible! They have little to no solutions to any increases. I just got hit with FL Muni Utility Tax FL Muni Franchise Fee, and this was their statement. Due to a system error, the monthly municipal utility taxes and franchise fees applicable to your account were incorrectly omitted from your bill the months of July and August 2024. It's winter, not using AC for weeks (it's AC Window unit), and my bills is double...during summer, my highest was $180, but during cold is $230, make it make sense..such a scam
